REQUIREMENTS FOR KENYA EVISA

You can get the electronic travel authorization for Kenya (ETA Kenya) fully online. In general terms, you will need the following documentation:
  • Passport
  • Personal photograph
  • Flight bookings (if you travel by air)
  • Travel itinerary (if you travel by land or sea)
  • Email address to receive the final document
  • A bank card to pay the fees
Depending on the reason for traveling, some travelers may need to present additional documentation such as proof of their financial assets, an invitation letter from the host company or a copy of the company’s government registration document, amongst others.

If any of these elements are missing, your application for the Kenya ETA will be saved so that you can complete at a later stage.

The ETA Kenya is like an online visa: it can be processed from any electronic device, without the need to go to an embassy. These applications have been simplified in Visagov to assist the user with visa processing, and reduce the possibility of rejection due to errors in the form.

Once you receive your approved evisa Kenya, you must print it out and present it together with your passport upon arrival in the airport in Kenya.

ETA Kenya: More information

All foreign nationals must apply for a Kenya ETA before travelling.

East African Community nationals don’t need to get the ETA. These are citizens from Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda; and eventually will include the Democratic Republic of Congo and Somalia, when their applications to join the EAC are ratified. These citizens only need to present their passport or relevant travel document to enter Kenya.

This travel authorization will allow you to stay for up to 90 days in the country. It is a single entry travel permit to travel to Kenya.

Each traveller will be assessed individually upon arrival in Kenya. Note that having an approved visa does not guarantee access to Kenya. If you have falsified or omitted information relevant to your stay in the country, government authorities may deny entry.
