It takes up to 2 business days to get a Sri Lankan ETA visa approved and the whole process is done online.
When can I apply for a Sri Lanka visa?
You can apply whenever you want, but we recommend that you do so at least one week before your arrival so that the visa can be processed in time. You will receive your approved visa within 2 working days, but not before 90 days before your arrival.
How long must my passport be valid for to apply for the Sri Lanka ETA?
The passport must be valid for at least 6 months after your arrival.
What are the advantages of applying for a Sri Lanka ETA?
There are two advantages. First, it is quick and easy, it is done online, takes 2 days to be approved and you don't need to go anywhere. Second, when compared to a visa on arrival, with your ETA you are sure to be approved before your trip, so you don't have to worry about anything on arrival.
Do I need to get a Sri Lanka Visa for all my children?
Yes, all travellers must have their own ETA. With our online form, you can apply for the whole family at once (up to 10 people).
Do I need vaccines to travel to Sri Lanka?

No, the ETA does not allow you to work in Sri Lanka. You will have to apply for a specific work visa.
Why do I need a Sri Lanka ETA to visit the country?
The ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization) is mandatory to enter the country as long as you do not exceed a 30-day stay in the country and you are traveling for tourism purposes. You can travel using only the online authorization (ETA) instead of getting a visa and getting the ETA is easier, cheaper and faster.

Yes, your stay can be extended to 6 months once you are in Sri Lanka.
Do I need to book a flight before applying for the Sri Lanka ETA?
