Sri Lanka e Visa: More information
To travel to Sri Lanka, you must apply for the online visa for Sri Lanka (also known as Sri Lanka e visa). Without the required travel permits, you won't be able to enter the country. Fortunately, most nationalities are eligible to complete the Sri Lanka tourist visa application for these visa types: the 3-month and 6-month tourist visas, and the business visa.
The Sri Lanka e Visa replaces the Sri Lanka ETA. Among these three types of Sri Lanka eVisa, the one that most resembles the ETA is the 3-month tourist visa, as both travel authorizations are fully processed online for tourism purposes. However, now you can apply for longer eVisas. For example, with the 6-month tourist visa you will be able to enjoy the country as a tourist for up to 60 days on two occasions within 6 months.
The Government of Sri Lanka reserves the right of admission. If you lie or omit relevant information from your personal data, or the authorities suspect that you may be a threat to the security or interests of the country, they may deny entry.
