REQUIREMENTS FOR THE EVISA INDIA

Before traveling, you will need to apply for the India eVisa that best fits the reason and duration of your trip.

To process your application for every type of eVisa to India, you will need the following:
  • A copy of your valid passport
  • A recent photograph
  • An email address to receive the visa
  • A bank card to pay for the visa fees
If you apply for the Medical visa, you will also need to provide:
  • A copy of the invitation letter on the concerned hospital’s letterhead
Those who are traveling for a Conference will also need to provide:
  • Invitation from the organizer
  • Political clearance from the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Government of India
  • Event clearance from the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Government of India
If you need to apply for the Business visa, you will need this additional documentation:
  • A copy of your Business Card
  • A copy of the Business invitation letter

  • 5-year Tourist eVisa: it allows for multiple entries. With this visa type you can stay for up to 90 days per entry.
  • Business eVisa: it allows for multiple entries. You are not allowed to stay for more than 180 days continuously.
  • Medical eVisa: it allows for a maximum of three entries. It has a duration of 60 days.
  • Medical Attendant eVisa: it allows for three entries maximum. It has a duration of 60 days.
  • Conference eVisa: it only allows for a single entry and exit. It has a duration of 30 days.
Yes, you have to present your printed visa and present it along with your original passport.
You can apply for an extension of your e-visa at the airport in India but its approval is not guaranteed. This procedure cannot be done online either.
You do not need to have a booked flight before applying for your visa online.
