Do US citizens need a visa for Indonesia?
Yes, you will need a visa for Indonesia if you plan to stay longer than 30 days. If you are traveling to Indonesia for tourism, visits to friends or family members, to attend some conferences, exhibitions, conventions, etc., for a layover, business, medical treatment, governmental visits and to go on a yacht trip, you can apply for an Indonesian visa.
You can choose to apply for either of these two visa options with Visagov:
- e-VOA: for those traveling to Indonesia and not entering Bali.
- e-VOA (Bali): for those who will visit Bali. If you choose this option, you will process at the same time the visa for Indonesia and the mandatory tourist levy for Bali.
The e-VOA is valid for 90 days after approval, but you’re only allowed to stay in Indonesia for 30 days.
Indonesia visa requirements for US citizens
